John Newman came to Princeton Soccer Association in Spring 2009 as the clubs new Director of Coaching, and coaches the PSA Force U14B and U10 Liverpool. In the short time Newman has been in the realms of the club he has began positive transformations with the club structure. John brings with a wealth of knowledge in all aspects of soccer from both playing and coaching sides of the sport.

John has played professional with the Shrewsbury Football Club and Semi-professionally with the Southport Football Club before getting involved with coaching.  While finishing up his professional career John began his experience as a coach with Lickers Lane Pathway Partnership (Knowsley Council).

Since coming to the United States John has worked for a number of training organization prior to starting his own successful soccer coaching organization (Advanced Total Soccer). John is a firm believer in coach education, personally pursuing all of NSCAA’s highest coaching licenses.  In 2008 John passed the NSCAA Master Coach diploma, with Distinction, 1 of only 10 coaches in the US to gain this. John has since passed part 1 of the prestigious UEFA ’A’ License in spring 2009, and will be completing in spring 2010. John then will be aiming to gain a place on the world renound UEAF Pro License.

John will be coaching the PSA Super Y U16G and U14B  for summer 2010, aiming to continue to improve from last year and make this years national finals
