
Drayson Hounsome, the 2007 Northeast Regional Coach of the Year head coach of the year, is Head coach of Rider University women’s soccer team.
Hounsome arrived at Rider prior to the 2008 season from the C. W. Post Campus of Long Island University, where he finished the 2007 season with a program record 17 wins and advanced to the third round of the NCAA Division II Championship Tournament.
Drayson Joins the PSA coaching staf as Head coach of the U15 Girls Super Y League team.
For nearly a decade, Hounsome has been an important part of the soccer community, serving as National Director of Events and Online Operations for Noga Soccer, where he began his coaching career in 1993. Hounsome has earned coaching licenses from both the United States Soccer Federation (USSF) and the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA). He has coached club and select teams in tournaments both in the United States and Europe and has coached in the Eastern New York Olympic Development Program (ODP).
Originally from the Channel Islands of Great Britain, Hounsome has competed in Europe and attended England ’s prestigious sporting institute, Loughborough University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Sport Science and Physical Education and also garnered an English F.A. Coaching license
