TAMPA, Fla. – The 2011 Super Y-League North American Finals U15 Boys All-Tournament Team was announced today with the champion Princeton Soccer Association seeing a pair of players named to the team. After conceding the fewest goals in the tournament, just two in five games, Princeton’s Julian Antal, who finished the tournament with three goals and one assist, and Gavin Coutts were both selected to the side.
The 2011 All-Tournament Teams were selected by USL staff based on tournament statistics, ODP nominations submitted by tournament coaches, and recommendations from the USL Technical Staff. The 2011 Super Y-League North American Finals were held December 2-6 in Brandon and Land O’ Lakes, Florida.
The 2011 Super Y-League North American Finals U13 Girls All-Tournament Team was announced today with the champion Atlanta Fire United leading the way with three selections. Princeton Soccer Association’s Rebecca Frisk and West Pines’ Danielle Antieau were also chosen as forwards after filling the nets. Frisk found the net four times and Antieau racked up five.
Princeton’s Jamie Moore and Parsippany SC’s Casarah Morales were selected after showing their versatility on the field, playing superb defense and contributing on offense.
Princeton Soccer Association also had 10 players selected for the Super Y League National ODP Camp, which is held in early 2012 and attended by many national team and college coaches. The players selected are;
