Holmdel NJX to merge within PSA Monmouth

Press Release: PSA and Holmdel Football Club are excited to announce the merge of the Holmdel NJX program into the PSA Family.

As we continue to offer the best player development platform possible for our players in Monmouth county, PSA proudly welcomes the exceptional NJX players, families and coaches into the club for 2021/22. The addition of these players into the PSA Monmouth program further enhances our ability to ensure that players train and compete in the most competitively appropriate environment that can be provided for them. Expanding the region’s player pool creates additional competition for players to strive to be the best they can be while ensuring that each player has the correct platform available in order for them to succeed.

For the 2021/22 season, the U8-U12 Holmdel NJX teams will now be known as PSA NJX. All U13 and older teams will be known as PSA Monmouth (formerly PSA Wildcats). The PSA Monmouth region will have U8-U12 teams separately based in Tinton Falls & Holmdel (PSA NJX) along with Manalapan (PSA Manalapan). When the teams move to 11v11 at U13 all facility locations will be utilized, and the teams will all become PSA Monmouth.

Foundation programs will be established in each location. This includes our introductory level Development Center program for players aged between 3 and 9 years of age, and our FREE Junior Development Academy for players born in 2015 & 2016 (age groups in the 2021/22 season). This bridges the gaps between recreation, travel and club level soccer for young players who want to progress their game.

The Holmdel NJX program, led by Matt Woolston, has established a strong reputation and as a part of the merge, all Holdmel NJX trainers, coaches, players and families will be welcomed into the PSA family. Holmdel NJX Director, Matt Woolston said, “I’m excited to bring the NJX program into the PSA family. The structure and facilities are exactly what we are looking for in bringing the best development platform to our current and future players.”

The PSA Monmouth region will be led by Director, Wayne Price, commented, “I'm absolutely delighted that PSA and Holmdel NJX will be merging to further the organizations’ growth and evolution in the Monmouth area of New Jersey. NJX have a proud history of producing quality boys’ and girls’ players. I look forward to working alongside Matt Woolston & Nick Barron, as well as their coaching staff, and fully believe that the new structure will improve our players, teams, staff and club as a whole."
