Technical Director, James Quinn comes to PSA with a vast knowledge and experience of soccer in English and European soccer.James rejoined PSA in 2016 after spending a year at English professional club Tranmere Rovers as first team coach.
Having previously worked in Princeton for two and a half years, James brings 26 years of professional soccer experience to the club and holds the highest coaching license in world soccer, the UEFA Pro License.
Starting his playing career with Birmingham City, James was sold to Blackpool. He scored a total of 49 goals and made 150 first-team starts over five years. Two of those goals were scored against Chelsea in the League Cup second round and also scored the fastest ever goal in Blackpool history, 11 seconds against Bristol City in 1995.
These exploits led West Bromwich Albion to sign James for £500,000. He scored his first two goals for the club in a 2–1 win against Middlesbrough. After a three year spell with Willem ii in Holland, James signed for Sheffield Wednesday, winning promotion to the Championship in a thrilling playoff final at the Millennium Stadium, Cardiff.
James retired from playing in September 2007. He collected fifty caps for Northern Ireland, playing in the famous victories against England and Spain and competing against such players as Ronaldo, Ibrahimovic, Figo, Iniesta, Maldini and Zidane.
Using his own personal playing experiences and the highest level coaching qualifications, James is determined and focused to develop PSA players and coaches to achieve their full potential, focusing on the fundamentals of soccer as well as the psychological and scientific elements of the game.
